Families with newborn children in Clermont County are eligible for a home visit by a Registered Nurse within the first six weeks after birth or discharge from a birthing facility. The Registered Nurse will conduct a health and physical assessment of the newborn and mother. The Nurse can also provide parents with information about infant care, baby blues, immunizations, growth and development, infant feeding, safety, parenting, child care, "when to call the doctor", as well as information about additional neighborhood services that may be available. In addition to this, Clermont Help Me Grow Registered Nurses can assist families in identifying and establishing medical/health homes. This service was formerly known as Welcome Home.
